Tideview Terrace Home for Special Care is dedicated to the provision of an environment which emphasizes quality of life and encourages the growth of each member of its community. The state of the art new home opened in August 2011 with a capacity of 90 residents.The main building consists of 10 resident houses; each house is a fully functional home, with kitchen, dining, living, and laundry spaces.
The houses are connected by the bridge where you will find the administration and support services. The building also has a rehabilitation room, multi-purpose room, chapel, conference room, family room, and family suite. Each house has its own garden area and patio. There is also a gazebo, kids playground, and paved pathway to the beach.The building's design included many green features including the use of a geothermal space heating system and a solar domestic hot water heating system.
Dumac Energy provided complete mechanical and electrical consulting engineering services for this project, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, security, communications, plumbing, heating, ventilation , air-conditioning, fire protection and building automation system.
